A rule-based proxy client for iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Shadowrocket
Shadowrocket takes over HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP traffic on the device, then uses rules you write to send it Direct or to a proxy server. It runs on iPhone and iPad, and on a Mac that meets the requirements. What you buy in the store is the client, not a data plan.

What Shadowrocket is
Shadowrocket is a client, not a data plan. What you buy in the store is the software: install it, open it, write in your own server or subscription, then decide when to connect. The developer states on the product page that the app does not include any proxy service or server resources. You supply the configuration.
It is not the same kind of thing as the VPN row in system Settings. A system VPN usually maps to one service and one account. Shadowrocket is closer to a configurable forwarder. Without a working node, the app can install and open, but no egress appears from nowhere. Buying the software and buying a proxy service are two purchases.
The official store name is Shadowrocket. The developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Look-alike apps and unofficial downloads use similar names or icons. When you check that you have the right app, read the store name and the developer. Do not rely on the icon alone.
Who it is for
People who run their own servers use it on a phone to edit rules, inspect requests, and switch nodes. People who already have a subscription from a provider use it to update the list, test latency, and split traffic by rules. When you debug an API or a page, you can also capture device traffic and look at it.
It is not for anyone who expects “the next app will get me online.” It does not issue accounts and does not include trial nodes. There is also no matching official Android version.
